pseudo wife picked up some fly bags from the farm supply today.. Already got some flys and my shippment of fly predators shipped today!! good day and my new power supply for my laptop showed up today! the dogs thought is was a chew toy! All chickens seem healthy today no losses!! and the new ones are all getting along great even roosting together.
Is there a flock swap this weekend in fayetteville? I was thinking i would bring my older kids to one this weekend
Or I could just got to beths !
There is one over at Hudsons on castly haynes rd this weekend. I will be there with 10 6 wks old chickens ranging from silkies, buff laced polish, partridge cochrins
I have chicks HATCHING!! So far we have SEEN 3 chicks, one male blue sex link (whom we call Roaster Du as we think our older chick is a rooster too and is set for freezer camp), one BLRW (I think it's the other one visible) and a mystery chick who was hiding under mama and we couldn't get close. Mama was growling up a storm and tried to peck DH just for changing food & water!!
Talk about a moody gal!! Hehe. No idea what is hiding under the cochin as I could not get past the Maran!! LOL. For your cuteness pleasure:

So i work on forclosed homes for a living... and this guy hangs out at one of the houses i cut the grass at. I think he was left forclosure duck. He is pretty friendly and isnt afraid of the big mower or weedeater
3:00 am fox singing had us checking our chicken houses. All are safe. Had to come in and listen to fox sounds to make sure that's what we heard. Several of them. Family sing-a-long, I reckon.
So long as it's not dinner theater, I'm okay with it.
Hollow... I kept hearing a noise I thought was a frog or some sort of giant bug..... after listening to the predator sounds, I realized it was the fox !!!
