7 out - 3 boys, 2 girls, 2 chocolate colored ones (BLRW), and one struggling (the foot first chick - in the box).

Hoping one of the 2 mama's will take care of it. The funniest part - the cochin was/is sitting on ALL the unhatched eggs (only 17 in total, they rejected one "dud") and has been sitting on ALL of the chicks. Looks like these 2 will be fighting - I mean sharing the chick raising. Hehe.

Congrats on the little cutie-pies......they are sweet.........
and those are very pretty mamas too

HELP!!! How much Ivomec(injectable) can I give 6 week old chicks? Do I injected or put on skin???

That young I would only put 1 drop on the skin at the base of the neck on the back on a bantam and 2 on a standard. That may be a little strong. Just depends on the size of the chicks. I have wormed chicks as young as 2 weeks old with ivomec when I found that they had worms. Several of the chicks were slow and droopy, then I found a worm in a poop. I used the needle to make smaller drops. Saved them all.

Good Evening everyone!! Be prepared for cuteness overload (and photo overload).

First up...our older chick, the lone baby. Mama is a Splash Cochin and I am 99% positive Papa is our Buff Orpington. What is your vote, Rooster or Pullet?? The chick is approximately 2 months old (8-9 weeks old, I believe, 10 at the oldest.)
Pic. #1 - Baby Rooster?? and Mama:

Pic #2 - sorry he/she isn't very people friendly and it's hard for me to get him/her to hold still:

BABY Pics!! We have a total of NINE that have hatched thus far. 3 Blue Sex Link Boys, 2 Blue Sex Link Girls, 2 BLRW and 2 "Toppy" offsprings, I haven't seen it yet, BUT I did see an egg labeled BOE, so it has to be hidden under mama cochin (Belle). She is still sitting on some eggs, although they have tossed out one egg this morning, and now there are 3 in a pile away from both mamas...so I am assuming they are either duds or ones that have stopped developing or something. So out of 18 eggs, we have 4 "duds" and 9 hatched between yesterday and today. We'll see if there are 5 more tomorrow or within the coming days!! Until then...ENJOY!!

Pic #2:

This concludes my photo overload & I apologize for the poor quality of the photos...they were taken on my cell phone.
