That would be funny... but the neighbors on the other side of us own it.... I have no problem with them, but their tenant sucks big time. Hubby went over to chat with the owner today and he said he would tell the lady our "good news"... so maybe she will move.

Just had a great harvest on my green beans. They are barely rolling, but I got about 3 cups out of 30 of my vines, and I have 30 more vines I planted 2 weeks behind that should start producing in a week or so. So excited!

We're having cuban roast chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner. The chicken is the only thing not from my garden.

Even the pepper & garlic rub w/ herbs for the chicken is all from my garden.

Dinner is costing a whole $2.96 (the cost of the cup up chicken).

Sorry, I was just so proud... and to think in a week or 2 I'll have 4 chickens from my own stock to add to another meal and maybe beat that cost.

Sounds yummy and you sure can't beat that price.

We just got our very first egg...and it was pretty good sized too! Now if I could just figure out who laid it... The possible candidates are one of the three barred rocks or one of the two red sex links. It's such a pretty egg!

well.....spend the better part of the day on the phone with the county zoning board....me calling and them calling back .....to make a long story short.....we have everything we need to raise and sell any kind of fowl we like(our state green card).....and they told me I could have all the chickens I wanted to have .....theres nothing anyone can do about it

so the lady behind us (our very nice neighbor) has 3 things she can do....#1 move somewheres else!

#2 put up with my crowing roosters or #3 get her own chickens to love and stop hating on mine

the nice neighbor needs to learn that living in the country means listening to country animals! Glad things went in your favor!

Have I told you two just how much you mean to me?!? You two are the BEST!!

Busy day ahead of us with company and DH having the day off!! Boy do I love that man!!

The chicken disease has CONSUMED him!! He told me last night he would like to get some RIR because, "I like their look"...

So glad he can chose a chicken based upon it's "looks"...haha. LOVE IT. Our chicken math has us at 22 chickens so far - although 4 of those are guaranteed to go to freezer camp...

Good morning all, sounds like everyone is having a good day, gardens, annoying neighbors

I have a full kids day of swimming lessons, midwife rally and candle selling. As well as caring for all the other critters. I have been flirting with ordering more chicks from Ideal. I am just not sure how far I want to push DH right now but he built me this awesome large coop and run that can fit so many chickens........
