Hello all... I am finally joining this thread! I'm in southwestern cumberland county, have a flock that's just over 20 birds strong. I just got started this past March, I'm hoping to start seeing eggs this coming August...

Well, it took me all morning, since I can't work fast, but I finally got the chicken wire laid over the stock panels that seperate the two pasture sections the new henhouse feeds into. And all four gates.

So I got to release the teenagers from bondage! I had to bribe them out with scratch. I think they're going to spend the rest of the day getting their courage up to come out, and staying out until something frightens them and they run inside, then starting the cycle over. So far they've been scared by the dogs coming up to the outside of the closest gate, a mockingbird that fussed at them, and the wind rustling the mimosa tree.

Silly kids.

I'm not making it to WCA today, since I have inlaws.

Next weekend I should make it, so save things for me!

I'm in need of a couple or three pure Ameraucana cockerels, if anyone has any promising young ones to sell. And I've got some boys of my own to part with. Some young Lavender Orpington guys just starting to crow, a Buff Orpington cockerel close in age to them, some mixed Orpington ones same age, then a yearling (or so) Lavender roo and a two-year-old Buff roo. The boys must go to make way for new boys! They'll likely end up in freezer camp, but there's a couple that I'd like to see placed instead.
