Good Morning, Everyone!

Slow start today. I used to love mornings, getting up before the sun and watching it come up as I was feeding. What happened to that? Now I have to use an alarm clock, and it goes off several times before I can drag myself out of bed.

I am also glad it's Friday! And I get to spend a bit of tomorrow with some of my favorite BYCers, too! Good weekend, coming up!

Same here..... I can't figure out what is going on. I am so cranky.... I can't stand myself in the morning.

Anyone ever use lime in coops? Is there such a thing as a "safe' lime for poultry?

I use the sweet PDZ sometimes. I put it on the bare floor before the bedding and then sprinkle a bit on top. I do it more to keep it dry than keep ammonia down. Its just really expensive!

Thanks for the lime answer.

What do you do with your bedding after you clean your coops? My dogs would eat it

if I put it around my flowers. Any other ideas?

There is and it's at TSC over around the area where the horse and chicken feed is. 2.99 a bg. Vicki and I saw it in the back of the car of the woman we got our geese from and she told us about TSC having it, it's made to use around animals very safe.

Stopped by TSC..and got me 3 bags....woohooo...Its called "BarnyardLime" .....gonna wait till the heat lets of tomorrow i hope...and clean coops between ball games. Thanks Patty!
