North Carolina

Made my trip to pick up the rabbits today, and was pleasantly surprised. Judging by the photos they had on their website, I did expect good rabbits, but these guys are huge! The buck they bred my doe to is tremendous, with a wonderfully broad back and wide loin. Plus, he's unrelated to both my doe and my buckling, so I can save a doe or two from this litter to breed with this buck if I want. Not cheap, but for what I got, not expensive, either. I'm well pleased.
Congrats!!!

They sound like you got a good find.........are they pretty too?

Good Morning, Everyone!

A lovely rainy morning! I love the rain. And we need the rain. Good combination.

Jake hurt his foot somehow yesterday. Not badly, but enough that I'm not working him for a couple days. I'm counting it lucky that the next two days are the rainy ones, so I don't have to mess with doggie raincoats and such. On the other hand, I hate going back to my crutches for a couple days, but it'll just make me appreciate Jake that much more.

CSB, the rabbits are lovely. Of course, since they're New Zealand Whites, they're both ruby-eyed whites, so no pretty colors, but still they're nice looking rabbits. I need to come up with names for them.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Oh my gosh, if only I could Crazyhen!! It is supposed to rain more again this week. Today was a beautiful day though.
I used to live in Franklin, I bet the trees are looking so pretty right about now!
We are in Mt. Mitchells back yard in Yancey co. it it is beautiful here right now and can only get better.

Just joined. This is a great site. I am living in Kinston as of now. Trying to buy a house in Bolton. If we get it I will get several kinds of chickens. Was raised on a farm and had chickens always. They ran free and nothing ever bothered them. We had great dogs that didn't harm the chickens and they took care of anything that came into the yard. I can't wait to get back to the farm life. I love it. Love to read about what you write.
