Well forgive me...

I've useless and I don't even think I've logged on to BYC in weeks! Life sure does know when to get in the way and demand all my time.

But I miss you guys and I was thinking how I needed to stop by and at least say Hi and I'm not dead.

I really wish I had something interesting or impressive or chicken related to talk about... but alas... I got nothin'!

We are in Mt. Mitchells back yard in Yancey co. it it is beautiful here right now and can only get better.

Just joined.  This is a great site.  I am living in Kinston as of now.  Trying to buy a house in Bolton.  If we get it I will get several kinds of chickens.  Was raised on a farm and had chickens always.  They ran free and nothing ever bothered them.  We had great dogs that didn't harm the chickens and they took care of anything that came into the yard.  I can't wait to get back to the farm life.  I love it.  Love to read  about what you write.

Doing lots of baking for an office party tomorrow..and the pump is out again. Grrrr.

But, molasses cookie dough is chilling in the fridge. Pecan pie bars and English toffee are cooling on the table. Blackberry/raspberry custard kuchen is next, then roll out and bake the cookies. Then try not to eat all this stuff for supper!

Wow! lots of work. We are finally getting much needed rain in Franklin. I found one hen with a mite on her so all got the ivermectin poor on drops. It worked last fall so I hope it gets them this time. Lots happening here but I am tired . I will write more tomorrow Gloria Jean
