But my dear Beth,

I don't see how you might even begin to think that you have a problem

to hatching chickens. I have 3 incubators going at all times, I haven't shut them off since we got them except in between cleanings. But, but, but....it's so much fun hearing those little peeps and watching them hatch!!!

Hey Sandy

I have a "big" incubator that seems to be stuck in the "ON" position.

And 3 "little" incubators to hatch in.

Something, I suspect a raccoon grabbed, killed and ate my little white peacock through the fence. The peas are in a chain link pen...the bottom 3 feet are wrapped in wire to PREVENT critters from grabbing the birds through the fence.

What a way to start my morning....untangling guts and bone from the fencing.

Okay...all turkeys are tested.

Last time he tested half of them. This time he tested all of them. If they come back negative again, he will use that as leverage to have the pathologist declare that as the two-in-a-row required negative tests, despite the fact that for the first test there were still positive chickens here. The inspector said they don't look a bit like they have it, and agreed with the first inspector that turkeys usually get it "first and worst" with severely swollen faces. He thinks we'll be okay. So now we do the hard, short waiting....for the results. Tomorrow or the next day. Keep 'em crossed!!!
