Scott.......you are one of my favorite enablers !!  :lau

Hey Sandy   :highfive:

I have a "big" incubator that seems to be stuck in the "ON" position.     And 3 "little" incubators to hatch in.  :gig

:yuckyuck I like that...its stuck on the 'on' position. I may have to steal that excuse to DH! :gig

I don't know....I have yet to SEE this problem first hand and I have visited several times...so I think IF you do have a problem...it's a closet problem!!  LOL.  Thank you so much...you are the bestest (look...I am using an incorrect word just to illustrate how awesome you are!!  yeah)
x3...or 4... We are here for you and praying for you!!  :hugs
I have been hoping they are hiding, but DH walked the property, spent some time in the woods and we haven't found them.  It's hard to think it could be a predator attack as they didn't leave the run (still a bit shy around the "bigger kids") but were very sweet and friendly - not to mention we had construction going on...I'm sure that was loud enough to keep all but a bird of prey away and would a bird of prey really fly into an enclosure (the run) to take the girls?  I don't know, it just all seems "fishy" to me.  I did mention to the Foreman when he stopped by to inquire on the job that I had 4 chicks missing and was wondering if anyone happened to mention "finding" them in the truck - I said they might have gone in there looking for bugs or something.  He said he'd look into it.  I can hope for the best, but I'm not so sure.  It stinks because a) these were special to us and b) we live so far from people that I guess we took our location for granted as being "safe" from people.  Looks like from now on when we have workers over everyone is under lock and key!!
LOL...  Hi Sandy :frow   Welcome to Hatchers Anonymous!!  Sadly, I am not one of you as I do not own an incubator...YET.  I do foresee one in our future though...as a Science Experiment for homeschooling...yeah, that's it!!

Well this is how I felt as well. I thought ya, this will be a fun experiment every now and then for the grandchildren to witness. But 1 incubator turned to 2, then 3 and well you get the picture! :lau

    :rant      :smack

Something, I suspect a raccoon grabbed, killed and ate my little white peacock through the fence.  The peas are in a chain link pen...the bottom 3 feet are wrapped in wire to PREVENT critters from grabbing the birds through the fence.  :duc

What a way to start my morning....untangling guts and bone from the fencing.  :sick

Awe I am SO sorry to hear about your peacock... :hugs

Prayers are going out to so many today... tests, losses as well

.....and yes I am an incubator addict as well, but I am ok with it I figure I could be addicted to much worse things in this crazy world.

Not much new, looking forward to getting new silkies from Beth (Be all girlssss....

please!!!) I know, wishful thinking right.

My incubator is off, but I have also ordered from a hatchery for the first time; nervous and excited all at the same time. These will fill in the gaps and replace many of my good birds lost this spring, and they had the predator lights in solar power! There is a well, as well as county water in the area that we keep birds, but no electricity...

I feel like a kid waiting for them to be shipped!

They should be here between the boys' birthdays!!!!

I will still start back up the bator soon, but have brought down my numbers of roos by MANY!

I am still taking in some stray city roos,

but not too many...

...and welcome to the new comers, but be for-warned... we may be contagious with the chicken fever. It can be a real fowl situation!

(punny)!!!
Signs that you may be affected include drooling when you think about cute little fuzzy cotton butt chicks, having your incubator run for a lengthy period of time (as if the on switch is stuck in that position) and SIGNING ONTO THIS SITE!
lau.gif
Let us not forget our poor chicken math.... DO you know exactly how many chickens you have all the time, because I have lost track often, and when that happens, ....

they do not hold still for the head or pair of feet count!

Anyone want to add to the list of signs?
