I seriously thought we were going to blow away! The wind was ripping the plastic off the chicken coop. The girls wouldn't go in said coop. All the big trees behind our house were swirling around like they just wanted to fall over and smash something. Thank the Lord that we have had no damage!

I was awake at midnight when it hit my area. The lightening was beautiful! The wind was horrendous. But over all there is no damage around here. They were talking about up near High Point getting some of the worst.

Good to hear that YOU are OK !!! Hopefully, you won't get anymore of that sort of wind !

(I've seen those BAD "funnel clouds" over my house...when I lived in Eastern Colorado. BAD STUFF ! )

Before I had a family it was my profession. My first day on the job one started to form over our office. Ha! The forecaster got busy that day since it wasn't in his forecast!

I am pretty sure I posted on the other "old" thread, but we are from Lincoln county (just north of gaston county, west of mecklenburg county, and south of catawba county)

I would love to have some chicken crazy "peeps" near me, maybe we can swap stories, chickens, eggs, chicks....or whatever lol

Raleigh, NC here...Just ordered my 6 babies from MPC. They will be shipped May 17th! ssooooo excited!! Gives me just enough time to order coop and build a run for the little darlins'. I don't know what to do first!!
