I hope everyone is safe and sound after a cold and windy March day. We are looking foward to a warmer weekend around here. I found a lot more eggs in the nests than I thought I would today. The girls must not mind the wind to much.

The baby Seramas didn't like the light from the camera. The tiny yellow one has gotten big enough to be with the other two. They are so much fun to watch !

Thanks Beth for the eggs ... Now if I can get them all grown up and out in the yard !

Take care everyone and stay warm ...

You will know tomorrow how they felt about today.....

Oh my word, I didn't know what I was hearing at first and then realized it was the roar of the wind! Looked out and almost DIED because my beloved Cadbury (Muscovy Drake) was STUCK against the run - hanging sideways, caught by his talons! I plopped one kid in the play pen, left the other at the table eating, threw on DH's shoes (shh don't tell) and of course when I get to the door...he's fixed himself and is flapping his wings in protest.

Never have I been so relieved! Our youngsters were trying their hardest to stay on their perch, but kept getting blown off, that they finally decided to huddle in a corner of their coop. My "smart" chickens are inside the coop, a few "others" are standing in a huddled mass. Lol. I am just happy my big fellow is okay!! I sure hope that this wind is really blowing spring IN, because I am ITCHING to get my hands in some fresh dirt and start planting! I'm jealous that you have a garage AND heat lamps to "incubate" those seedlings. I have to plant the seeds in the ground, cross my fingers and pray a lot that anything happens. This year SHOULD be different as we made "raised" beds and brought in some really good dirt.

Hold down the fort everyone...if it's not nailed down, it's probably going to be flying away today!! LOL.
Yes it was crazy windy at my house also, I did get in the dirt a bit on Tues morning before the rain started, got 2 more rosebushes in the ground and a new bed dug up completely. I bought veggie and herb seeds to start at the grocery store today, cant wait to have my garden back. NEED SPRING! like now, so tired of cold and wet weather.
