no, the beak comes to a point at the end. From this pointed end you should be able to look and see through the beak kind of. You work your way from the pointy end toward the chickens head, once you see it darken on the beak you have reached the cuticle line (just like a dogs or cats line can be seen) Once you find that line you can start to trim, keeping in mind where the line is. Take breaks so you #1 find the line again and #2 make sure she doesn't form a drop of blood. You stop trimming just before the line or when you see a drop of blood form. So, for clarity, I should trim the dark part of the top part?
Okay, those who wanted raspberries, please remind me who you are and how many you want. I know Beth wants some, but not sure how many. Luke, you had wanted a few...do you still? Anyone else?

Oh, I'll have plenty left! When so many people wanted them before, I doubled my order. And now I can't remember who they were. I have fifty plants. I'll plant maybe a dozen here, and the rest can go for $2.50 each, or equivalent trade. These are Carolina raspberries, bred for our climate. If folks will let me know how many they want, I can take the rest to the flock swap on Saturday.Okay, those who wanted raspberries, please remind me who you are and how many you want.
