Yes, the space requirements, and inability to tolerate cold temps puts them out of the running for me...as does the price tag! These beauties only produce one or two eggs per year! Makes them expensive!

We have another beautiful day ahead for Us. Thank goodness. Got lots on my agenda for today. My babies will move to the coop for the first time. "Hope they love it, I know I will 
" there 7ish wks old and feathered out nicely. So with Temp low 's upper 60's I think they'll be just FINE! Looking forward to playing in the dirt today. My garden is coming alone nicely. Just to watch her grow. "how rewarding" and very Therapeutic ! i get down there rant, rave, chomp at the bit. laugh a lil cry a lil, sing
