Yes, crafting

I've seen a lot of people making them as ornaments this year.  Though with my 2 little ones I don't think they'd last!  Would make a cool gift for someone...

Nice ones!

I think this would be a great way to afford those ceramic dummy eggs.  Probably work just as well

. I've seen this done with chocolate, too. Quail eggs, though, instead of chicken. Lovely little chocolate eggs!

I would think so... what else would you do with chocolate???

I would assume you'd blow out the egg, rinse it, fill it with melted chocolate and let it harden.
Then when you go to eat it, crack the egg off and eat the chocolate inside?

But I've never heard of it, so its a logical guess

That answers my question for next year-- how long do you have to rest them?
I wish I could eat 5 of these dumb turkeys out there, but can't do anything til the hubby gets home to help. No more "meat" breeds!

Good morning everyone it is COLD!!!!
Going home for Thanksgiving, they have a high of 31 during the day and in the low 20s at night! I was getting a little too used to how warm the south is! Might get to see some snow though :)

To the girl looking to buy a house in Harnett County-- sorry I don't remember your name and can't find it because it was a few weeks ago. There's an article today in the paper that an ordinance was just passed for Harnett County residents to have up to 6 backyard hens (no roo's). But you have to check the neighborhood/HOA/town because they can still override county ordinances.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!!

Cold. The breeze is cold. Tonight will be real cold. I'll spend today moving birds around. Most of the young ones are moving back indoors. Sigh. Thought I was done with indoor brooding, but nope. Gotta protect the babies.

Making a huge feed run to TSC today, with my handy-dandy 10% off coupon. Filling up everything.

Levi has eye surgery again tomorrow. Poor guy. He'll be miserable for a week, but then hopefully there will be a permanent improvement.

Enjoy your day. Be a penguin.

Good morning folks

Hollow........I have feathers for your DS and beards too.......
we processed 3 turkeys yesterday for us and friends soooo.......

a neighbor came by to get some eggs as we were finishing the
first one and she was chatting as she watched......fascinated.......
and we explained as we went along........when we got out the next turkey
to go she made a hasty retreat down the road........the killing part is
the hardest part of all in it and many folks don't deal well with it.........
even I have my moments but I managed.....the rest of it is easy enough.

hope everyone is having a good weekend
