Then my mirror lies to me on a daily basis. Plus I'm about 30 pounds heavier than I was BP (before Prednisone). Fat. I'm not hiding from that reality.

I just wish that it would work for me.... like by helping me float, stay warm, or cushion any falls.... but alas it doesn't do anything for me but make me squishy.

When you all reach my size, then you can call yourselves fat......
otherwise you are only lightly padded.

Good morning folks

I enjoyed myself at the Smithfield show with all the
good company that was there. I seen some very nice
birds there and some that were huge compared to
the average barnyard bird. Some of those roosters
looked like they were bordering on being a small turkey

hope everyone has a good day

Good morning! I often peek in and read this thread with nothing note-worthy to say. Today isn't any different but I thought I'd wish everyone a good day on this crisp morning

rbaker, I did have a hoodie with a mastiff on the front, but I didn't buy any tickets! Hubby bought some before I ever got in there, so I didn't. But perhaps we'll meet next time. I was fairly noticeable...fat lady with the Santa-ish pony-tail hat and red sweater on her stick. That was me.

Welcome to the new folks, too!
I agree with CSB, you are NOT fat... that being said, we all have to be comfortable in our bodies... I am NOT right now.

Tammyfarms, you said in a post about a week and a half ago that you use a thermobloc for you cookie tin heater. Where can I get one of those at? I haven't looked in any stores for one. I have a TSC and southernstates cose by. Thanks for the help.
Hi Chicken Dad.

The thermocube seems to be working very well. I bought mine from Amazon as TSC doesn't carry in in stock. I can't remember if they have them on line or not. There are different model numbers depending on what temperature you want them to switch on or off. I bought the model that switches on at 35 and off at 45. It is not my ideal temperature range, but the next cooler option was on at 20 and off at 30. I would be concernced that the water would freeze up at <25 and the block wouldn't switch on.

In another coop, I have a timer connected to a power strip that I switch on when I think we are in danger of having freezing temps. I can switch the timing around depending on when it is supposed to get below freezing. Thinking about replacing this with a thermocube though as I don't always remember to turn it on or off.

The reason I used it is because I had it in the garage.

Glad to meet you. I rarely have anything noteworthy to say
either so I just babble about something just to be sociable.........
and I'm always happy to read what folks have to say.

I guess that lil boy has Luke busy as a bee

I often see posts with pictures from Skye on Facebook. Little Lu is growing fast, and Lukah always has the same grin on his face that got glued on the first time he saw his son. I think they're doing okay!
