North Carolina

Good morning folks

I am debating a road trip to Pa. next week or the week
after for some birds that have been offered to me.
I really like the birds and the price is great but I am not
thrilled at the thought of driving to the "great white north"
during the holidays. Between traffic, weather and road
conditions I'm just so sure I will get the birds........and
I don't like shipping birds so that is out. Thinking it through.

hope everyone has a good day

Where in Pa?

Oh Okay.
We're going up to Baltimore on Friday, but we're not staying long, just enough to take my oldest to his dad's (he gets this Christmas).
I was going to see if there may have been someway to help you out, but I just googled it and it's not around where we're going, Denver looks like it's North West of Philly. Hubby's adjustment coming home hasn't been going so smooth, I don't think I can convince him to go a few hours out of the way to pick up chickens. Wish I could have helped!
What kind are you looking at getting?

Thanks for the thought but I prefer to do it myself.
This way I see where they are being housed and the
quality of the other birds providing they give tours of
their birds.

I agree that's the best way to do it, know exactly what you were getting.
Just wanted to help if I could, because the drive is brutal and gas ain't cheap!!!
With Thanksgiving only a couple weeks ago I feel like I just got back from Maryland! At least the hubby is here this time to help with the driving. We usually go up there about 7 or 8 times a year since all my family is still up that way.
They're trying to get us to go back, but there's no way, I think we'll be in the NC/SC area forever. Once my husband can retire I want a small farm out by the coast in either NC or SC. We shall see....

What kind of birds are you looking at? Can't wait to see them!
