Coopscoop might sell hatching eggs come spring

I will be selling hatching eggs from some of these girls and
I will be selling some of these girls as well........first I need to
figure out who is laying what and get them with the roos I
want to cross them too.

Exxxxxcellent <insert Mr Burns finger tapping> Would love to do eggs but have no idea if I would have a broody or not and know if i get an incubator I would go egg crazy! So might have to stick with getting a girl. Will keep this in mind, thanks.

Who's doing the green/brown speckle? EE? One of my EEs lays a brown egg. Given that her name is Floppy Comb Flo, I am not really surprised. :/

that is a mint green that is a little dirty as the
girls don't always lay in the nest box yet.

The dark brown egg in the back is a Marans pullet
the white and the cream colors are sumatras and some
andelusians , the blues are EEs and lavender ameracana
and the greens are olive eggers F1s and F2s.

Nice! I may let my EEs hatch out and see what I get. My blue andis are doing very white eggs.

And in other news, I have seen my SLW on one of my white silkies- twice!! EEEK! That would be quite the mix.

I'd love to have a mint green egg like that.

Hey everyone... Got good news and bad news... I guess bad news first... We were woken up at 4:30 this morning from a call from the Hospice House saying my uncle was starting to go unstable... He passed away this morning around 9:00... We are trying to just look at it positively and that he is no longer in any pain. The tumors were causing him so much pain and he has been struggling these past few months. We are lucky that he made it through Christmas though!! He went out joking though.. He was practically in mid sentence saying how he was going to be his stubborn and persistent self saying he was gonna fight it through the day just so none of use would be there when he finally did go... Shortly after that though he just faded in my moms arms.. And I've been rushed around all day by my aunt (the one who killed my Marans over the summer!) to scan pictures of my uncle and to do this for her and to do that.. I guess she elected me to be in charge of making a bulletin for the memorial and to make a video about his life

Its definitely not my idea of a good time.

Anyways on a happier note.. I think my Cochin's eye is getting better!!! I used the VetRx (made sure it was for poultry lol) and had to watch videos first on how to apply it properly because the directions are kind of confusing... Anyways after about an hour of applying it I check up on her again and noticed how well the VetRX made her eyes water and I could even tell that the puss build up beside her eye was breaking down!!!!

. I'm going to treat it a few more times over the next few days until it softens up enough for me to push it out.. I only wish I knew it was eye worms before with my Maran, because I feel so bad about her eye. It pretty much dissolved but I think there was a point where I could have gotten out the puss that built up but I just wasn't sure and didn't want to hurt her... But I guess I'm just glad she's still alive and I'm gonna do my best to make the cochins eye better!!! Thanks for all of your guys help! It's been so helpful!!

hey guys, have had no running water since yesterday evening and power went out some time last nite and still hasn't come on sooooooo cold. Now is when I wish I had a fire place. We have a small propane camping stove in the main bed room, and us and the dogs are piled in with all the extra blankets and sleepingbags for the night. Hope y'all are warm and well
