oh is there any way you can send me pics of your boys!? a nice unrelated roo would be a grea thing to have.
Gorgeous colors! Right now I only have one or two girls laying and I only get brown. I'm hoping in the spring I'll get some nice color from my EEs. They were too young to start laying before it got cold. I will definitely be looking for more color in my egg basket once it warms up.
hey guys, have had no running water since yesterday evening and power went out some time last nite and still hasn't come onsooooooo cold. Now is when I wish I had a fire place. We have a small propane camping stove in the main bed room, and us and the dogs are piled in with all the extra blankets and sleepingbags for the night. Hope y'all are warm and well![]()
I REALLY want a pygmy goat!
How loud are they? How smelly are they (obviously it depends how clean you keep them/their habitat, but in general....)? Does a certain gender make a better pet? I know the girls are usually pretty hard to get, at flock swaps I only see people selling off their extra boys

ONE is a bad idea. They are herding animals. A minimum of two, with three being preferred. If you get just one, you'll have an animal that goes from frustrated to neurotic, as it tries to sort the behavior of the animals around it into the expected behavior it's genetically programmed to expect. All herding or flocking animals either need same species companionship, or should be brought into your family to get all day attention. (That's why flocking bird species such as parrots can make good pets. For them, you substitute for their flock. And if they don't get enough attention, they also get neurotic.)I REALLY want a pygmy goat!
