Hubby starts the first of the two new chicken houses today. He wants to have it framed and roof on before he leaves on his next business trip on Tuesday. Yay! Soon I will have my birds in permanent breeding groups and not have to rotate them through breeding pens. They'll all have a section of pasture to themselves. Can't wait!

You aint the only one! That's why I just put projects to shorten it up some. For example, there is 4 more in just the polish alone. (can't even remember them all

) Gotta love them.

Yeah, it was getting out of hand over here. I had to make some choices. From now on, if I want to add a breed, something has to go! (Maybe I should do the same thing with my closet....)

What does everyone plan on breeding this year?

I'm not really breeding per say, and it would be rare that I get a purebred put of the deal.......

In the brooder with mama are 3 cochin bantam (prolly black) / silver spangled hamburg mixes.

Under broodies outside I've got some EE eggs; I think a single barred rock egg, and some other brown eggs (BO, SLW , maybe an EE). MY BR shipped as a cuckoo marans, so if her egg hatches and is a pullet, maybe there will be some marans in her???

Hoping for SLW purebreds from some of them, though. If anything hatches. I've only let 8 be set.....
