i really want some EE/amaericuna and a maran to go with my leghorn so i get a rainbow in my nest box anyone able to help me out?

Hi! There are lots of people here who have Easter Eggers, so you should be able to get what you want. If you actually mean you are also interested in pure Ameraucanas, there are one or two people that have those as well. (EEs are a mutt cross of them.) Either will give you lovely eggs! Ameraucanas lay only blue, but Easter Eggers are aptly named! and you get more color choice in the bird, too. I love my EEs!

Hey NC thread! It's been a long time since I posted anything. I've been SO busy! Sold all my ducks since IRs aren't meat birds and hubby wants meat birds. He can't decide between a pair of geese, or a pair of meat ducks. I'm leaning more towards geese. We increased our chicken flock from 12 to 23 now (incubated some of our girls eggs this time).

Hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful day we had today! I'm not looking forward to the rain and sleet/snow we're supposed to get tomorrow though. More than ready for spring and warmer temps. We spent the day out in the woods building the kids a fort/lean-to. Hoping to make it large enough for our whole family to have "camp outs" out there this summer.

How is everyone else doing?

i was looking more at pullets forgot to add that and so many of my friends have EE's and Americunas they LOVE them (not willing to part with any) so excited if i can get some

Egg mystery solved!!! Easter Egger is indeed laying the green egg! I spent so much time outside today hanging around the coop trying to spy on who is laying what egg... Pure Ameraucana laid her first egg today too and it was a bit more blue but just a few shades away from the green of my EE. Going to be fun telling who laid what egg by color :)
I'm so happy though because so many of my chickens are returning to full swing production! Not only did I get a first ever egg today but I also got a first-of-the-year egg from my darling Welsummer after she tricked me about 10+ times today with her false-alarm egg song. Not even exaggerating. :)
So nice to have a full egg basket again :)

thanks .. i guess we may just take her and see how she does.. it will be our first show ever. she is my sons bird he will b in the jr . i think theres some type of blood tests for disease or something we have to do isnt there? if so if you know how and when and where do we do this.. and do i need to join the apa prior to the show..i had the wrong date entirely.. wowzer..also is there a seperate category for the pullets or would she be judged with the adult hens?
