AW!   I hate it when people do that! Thats how we got both of our cats, most of our dogs, even our guinea pigs. I'm glad you have given Hope a new home! We need more people like you in the world. 

That's how we got our dog too and one of our cats. They turned out to be the best ever.

Well guys looks like I have a new girl in my life! Remember we were talking about people ditching dogs well this sweet little pup was thrown from a moving car in front of my house lastnight she has roadrash on her feet and a bump on her head she's very sweet! Who would do that!

we get lots of donations here too........some folks are just heartless at times.

wow chickens sold on craigslist are crazy expensive. I've never sold a single chicken for more $15 and i see common egg layer chickens being sold for $20 and up.

I stumbled into this thread and figured I'd add that I'm from NC too (North Chatham/Chapel Hill), so apparently in very good company 'round these parts!

We negotiated a chicken coop in the offer on our house and inherited 3 RIRs, 1 EE, and 1 bantam of unknown breed. And then we picked up some new friends at Pittsboro Feed a couple weeks ago, but lost our favorite, a little Salmon Faverolles. So, I'll be looking for more next spring.
