Little bit of rain here, not that it'll do much. Seen the chickens scratching in the dirt afterward the rain and just the VERY top of the dirt was wet.

Well, I was sitting here, reading BYC and watching TV. I read Hollow's post and said to myself "Well, just in case, I think I will go feed the horses BEFORE that comes this way." I had just made it out there and wellah! So I did get a little wet, and it is still raining, but it must be worse elsewhere. While feeding the horses, I heard the generator kick in, and it is still running.

Thank you Hollow, for the warning!

CSB, so sorry it missed you again! I've got standing puddles everywhere if you want to come get some. Bring your own bucket again.

The apple tree is one that was only about my height, so not too settled in yet. Hope it survives the experience!

The mtns are getting all the showers. 1/2inch yesterday and a shower today. Its rumbling again now the air is cool now tooo. All of 70degrees up against the house.

No damage so far but the chicken run is muddy yuck. Its on a hill and still gets muddy. Thankgoodness we have a shelter for them to go under that is dry. Poor things they look so bedragled.

Oh man!  Our A/C unit broke in the middle of the night!
I heard some obnoxious noise and turned it off.
Went out this morning and one of the 3 fan blades had 1 of the 2 rivets come out, then it like bent and it's hitting the motor.
So I am going to try to figure out how I can fix it, we don't have the money for a repair man and this time of year you have to wait forever for them to come out and then order parts. 
 Hoping some new rivets and some bending can fix it for now.
It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too hot not to have A/C!!!!
Trying to google how I can fix this thing myself, I know nothing about HVAC.


I also think my husband forgot today is my birthday 
Maybe when he gets to work and sees the date?

I might be in the same boat. Lower level is hot. Looks like the combo of the heat lamp thermostat controller going bad + lack of AC killed 8 of my keets. No losses yesterday, 6 the day before, and then another one just today! I didn't have the lamp ob for a few hours to bring the temp down, and it got down to 86/88 which shouldn't have been too much of a problem because they need 90-95 right now. I can only assume the heat stress and change in temp caused the one today. I am just sick over it.

And seeing as Hunny is across the country and I don't know when he can come home, not sure if I have to end up calling someone or not.... :/

This is suppose to be my black Cochin Bantam rooster, when I breed him to this black Cochin hen and blue Cochin hen they come out black and blue with no white when grown! Is the white feathers just a thing he has?! Thanks in advance for the replies!

That is not a black roo (the one back left)- he's birchen. {Below, black and birchen-birchen makes *fabulous* babies with any breed- I have a bantam birchen Cochin + EE pullet is she is the most stinking cute thing ever! ♡}
