The last one looks like a beardless easter egger. The black ones are probably black sex links. I would guess the other is some type of production red.
Star.........you were right on it......here is proof of her being an EE.

Hi guys! I don't own any chickens but it's nice to know there's other bird owners around NC!

Would anyone, by chance, happen to have some diamond doves? I'm casually looking for more (I'm just interested in what's around). I'm 30 minutes from Charlotte.

Good morning folks

I need to figure out what I am going to do this
weekend. There are lots to do, just need to plan
out what is at the top of the list and what will get
done if I have enough time Debating what way I
want to go with the chickens too for next year.

I have been sitting here watching the morning news having my coffee listening to my boys. They wake up and start to crow while still on there roost, I have always wondered why. They do this most days sometimes from an earlier hour then others and crow until the sun comes up. Only a few times do I have any idea of what gets them up so early, a thunder storm or other noise at an early hour. This has become a rather nice morning routine for me. They start out soft and low and get louder as dawn gets closer, it's like they are calling the sun to come out. When I first thought of keeping chickens I had no interest in having a rooster but now just doesn't seem right to not have one.
I hope everyone is having as nice of a morning as I am today, and looking forward to a great weekend.

I was the same way with getting a rooster. I saved a 5 month old roo from a culling. Was going to give him away but now I really enjoy him around. He keeps order among the flock. I only have 4 hens but am working on getting him a few more. I'll keep 6 girls and him it should work out. Some may think different but I think it will be fine with 6

Good morning to you also...you are right about so many directions/options for the chickens and it can change from one day to the next.. I find some of my directions are almost spur of the moment when I happen to see something on here or maybe on Pinterest, etc.. I think mine is called impluse right now early in my handling my ladies..

Like, right now I just enjoy having a mix of backyard mutts. As my first ladies start to "egg-out", I may have decided I want a certain breed to concentrate on. Good luck with all your thoughts..

Hey jtbass ! I was looking at your coop and run pics and it looks great. I've seen it from start to finish and read all the ups and downs you've had along the way. You really built something to be proud of congrats. Alan
