North Carolina

This morning I had to go in and physically herd out the baby silkies to go outside. Took me about 10 minutes, then they sat there on the ramp.... Finally venturing down to the floor and food.....

did you see my offer on the Orpington's post that I saw you'd placed?

I did, but you know what Gavin.. If you or I win the lottery I think we will just go across the big lake and "hand pick" us some new birds.

Been working too much lately! It's great, but I miss my BYC friends! Things are going great here! I am doing the crop surgery on my Andi, scalpel being delivered today. Poor girl, I feel horrible for her, but she wouldn't have ever told me, she seems happy go lucky. But her crop is a size C swinging with each step, might start calling her Dolly!
On a lighter note Brunswick and brother Ray had their second night out last night. Ray was beginning to crow, pretty sure they have more than enough feathers for the night! Mommy is becoming protective of her flock now! I knew they would grow on her!
Still haven't had the line up pic of my March hatch, but they are all starting to fly around in the brooder. Really a great color mix too! Maybe after surgery tonight we will have a photo session.
Off to be helpful and sell and shuffle plants at Home Depot. Gladly I don't have to have road cone orange on, just not my color! I'm working for Stacy's Greenhouses, Yellow golf shirt! Yeah for beautiful weather for working! Hopefully y'all have a better day playing chickens!!!! See y'all soon.

Yes we would. I t would be so awesome to do so and to breed them and just be able to devote 100% of my times to chickens!

the DH started my first coop today so i won't have to use my father in laws anymore... YEA... his coop is right beside us but i wanted my own... it is gonna be a 6X8 to start with only have 3 silkies and 2 oegb so it should be big enough with the runs... then we will build the grow out pen for the 11 silkies i just hatched...(they will hopefully find new homes)... Hope everyone had as good a day as i did... Take care
