Yeap, love me some fresh asparagus with a good steak.

Not only do we have the asparagus, sugar snap peas are coming up, red and green cabbage is growing, lettuce is planted, garlic is coming up and onions from last fall are getting bigger! The blackberries are getting tiny leaf shoots, strawberries fared the winter, blueberries are getting spring growth and flowers, the peach trees are blooming and the apple trees all have leaves popping out. Still waiting on the raspberries, fig and grapes to show signs of life and then all is good!

the only thing I have to do this year is replant the rhubarb as the scorching summer we had last year did it in.

I have found my first couple of clover patches and should be making clover jelly in no time.

Stop ya'll are making me sooo hungry. The only thing blooming here is the forsythia, and it's so pretty. but we are seeing signs of spring.... I did see a dog eared lily blooming[trout lily]. junkmanme where have you been? good to see you drop in for a visit.and sounds like ab is geeting into the chicken spirit real good.. I have 2 broodies, but one hasn't gotten it worked out yet when she goes out for a spell she gets into the wrong nest box, can an egg develop like that or should i just take it from her? it's only one and she is usually off the egg for hours at a time. just sitting in the nest box next to where the egg is.

Hey everyone,
Many pages to read thru since I was last on. We went yesterday and got 2 silkies

I set them up and went inside for about 45 minutes came out and the rooster was GONE! He ran off!

I still don't know how he got out. The hen we got is thinking about going broody

I hope she does. How has everyone been on here? Still trying to catch up on readying.
