Gavin - HOW CUTE!! I am glad you don't have an egg bound hen!!
HT - What?? No hatching?? What's one to do?
Kellya from Southern Wake County
from Johnston County
We had a WONDERFUL build today!! The forman was onsite early and spent a large amount of time cracking her whip!! Can you see how she wields that weapon??
It is good to know that fresh air gives a certain forman the initiative to SLEEP!!
I spent a bit of time using a miter saw (to help things go faster for the DH) and I am happy to report that I have ALL 10 fingers and toes!!
The only thing I didn't do was the small octagonal window pieces that needed a 45 degree angle on each end. The saw couldn't go through the thickness so you had to flip it, and well I let the DH handle that!!
I ended up cutting about 20 boards (even played around with angles) and a few dozen or so smaller ones. Most of the hammering was done by the DH as there was only one ladder. I'm STILL not sure how he's going to get the boards ON the roof but I'm not worrying about that now.
The roof is now completely framed as well as the large "vent" windows (they are up in the rafters and are octagonal), and the 4 windows we plan to put in are framed....We haven't put any walls up yet...guess that's next weekend. Then we paint and do the finishing touches (I paint while the DH installs the run).
