oh yeah, we got ours as chicks from tractor supply in the assorted reds section in april when they had chick days. they were a dollar an so a peice and some ducks for around $5 each. We ended up with the gold rooster the newhampshire red roosters and the hens what ever they are... my uncle gave us his sex-links that were from the amish originally

btw the Amish people sell their older hens very cheaply and seem to have a good supply of young ones and chicks. My uncle swears by their chickens. they are somewhere around Statesville.

I need a duck, my My Pekin is missing her Mallard mate because he died this evening... Anybody around here got one they can give me or really cheap that she can swim with in her pond? I'll take a male or female...even a gossling that we could raise for her...
