I need to go back to that Frizzle question....

I have 4 Sizzles, 2 are sizzled and 2 are smooth. I understand the smooth carries the sizzle gene. Can I breed the smooth to the sizzle?? Or what ??

I'm confused

You know I really want to but I need to find out the ordinances for the areas and when I pick a house go from there! I will sell my barred rock flock to some friends and I have already started to pare down some of the little guys - my sumatra, nankin, PH Game Fowl and a couple others. I have about 60 eggs in between two bators with hatch due anyday on about thirty of them - keeping fingers crossed since the got jostled some today when I realized that the one incubator I had sold and that the people were coming to pick up had the eggs in it! So I switched them out as gently as I could to one of my hovabators and they got a little jostled - drat.

:barnieDue any day and since I'll be in NC this weekend I may get to miss the show on some of the bigger ones.

(Couple more Jersey Giants, some LF Cochins and others - rest are Silkies, D'Anver, and Javas and Sussex)

I really want to bring some of them but if I can't I'm sure you all will help me find a way to feed my chicken love - okay maybe addiction!

Hi, everyone.

Popping in to remind everyone about the recognition awards.

We want to validate the efforts and contributions of our members who give sooo much. This community is special because of the efforts of its members, and we all want to honor that.

NOW: get to nominating, if you haven't already!

Remember, each BYC member may nominate one member each month for each of the three recognition categories: BYC Friend, BYC Educator, and BYC Spirit. That's three nominations each month, and we want to see more submissions!

Use the Nomination Submission Form to make your suggestions.

Thanks!

I was told frizzle to smooth never frizzle to frizzle. When it comes to a none frizzled ( smooth frizzled) one you should be able to cross it back to a frizzled one, but I am not 100% on that. I haven't played with mine enough to know for sure.

fyrekitten, what kind of sumatra's you got?

Another observation on goslings......... they NEVER sleep
barnie.gif
They are in a big tote (for now) in my landery room, next to my bedroom. They whistle ALL night

They are wayyyy to spoiled.. they like to "help" with everything.

if I am working outside they follow us around, sometimes I have to put them in a playpen and they go nuts... screaming and having a temper tantrum.

Right now they are eating my dogs bed. She is not to happy.

She is a tiny 4 lb chihuahua , they goslings are almost as big. Missy the chihuahua is hiding under a blanket.

At least I know these little buggers will be friendly as they get older.

We named them Tiki & Sparrow. Unisex names, since I am not sure if they are boys or girls, some people said a pair, some people said 2 girls
hu.gif
It would not surprise me if they were 2 boys ....
