I'll have to get some pics of our duckling up, I posted pics on the duck thread and most think our "Hope" is a Bob.

We're still holding out though, we have 2 drakes already and dh says one will have to go to freezer camp, it's like saying I have to give up a child. [I've had them for so long]

Or not!!!! Sounds like moving is a great plan. Hopefully the new landlord is an honest one! Hope y'all are all enjoying the Ac or at least a fan....
Quick note for anyone: I purchased spiral legbands to mark my chicks. They work great for identification! It only took one day, and one of my kids now is in pain. My fault for sure! If you use them, you have to watch them really close! Hopefully her foot will be ok. My heart hurts more I think.
Peace

You know, the moment I even feel a tad better.... I go over board! I have no self control I tell ya!

So here's what I've managed in 2 days (plus I went back to work to my normal schedule).

I picked about 2 5 gallon buckets worth of figs. I froze 4 gallon bags worth, 2 lbs I sun dried, and I did 4 pints & 16 8oz jars of jam. The rest had to go back to the farm for them to sell because I just ran out of steam. I did manage 2 quarts of tomato sauce last night and 2 quarts of peaches in vodka to start fermenting for my Christmas liquor gifts. Follow all that with harvesting our popcorn and cleaning that to make 1 quart jar to put up for winter.

Now I am READY to sleep the rest of the weekend away! Ahhhhhh

I swear, tomorrow I am taking a break and enjoying the rainy day it will be. We already went and rented movies to enjoy with the wee one and got her some paints since we're going to make a paper towel roll princess castle to waste the day. ;-)

When everything seems to come to fruit in the garden at once, its hard to deny that works need done... and mama needs fruit liquor STAT! hahahaha
