Ok I need help with breed classification for my polish roo Romeo. I got him as a "bantam" polish but now after seeing other standard polish at the Dixie classic fair im not sure?? Is weight really the only way to tell the difference?

Sorry for the late response, I've been away all day.

Jloeffler, I'm willing to keep your BO rooster here in a QT pen until you can get him if that helps.

Wicked Chicken Auction report: There were over 200 boxes. Most went for a very fair price....big roosters brought BANK. There were a few rare breeds, tons of geese, 2 potbelly pigs, etc.

I came home happy! I got 3 splash maran, 2 BCM, and 2 Blue copper maran chicks for $10. I also bought a baby potbelly pig for my sister and she is thrilled!

LOL I'm a little confused too. I said I would take them and Dave said that Jloeffler wanted a BO roo. It sounds like they are trying to get it worked so that someone else brings her the rooster. I was just offering a place for him to stay while they get it worked out. I'm meeting Dave next weekend to get the other 2.

Last I knew I was going to see if either Me or a friend could meet CSB at the state fair on Sat. To collect the roo. If not, he's all yours DT! I'm not sure where Franklinton is in relationship to me, but I will check. Just for added fun in my weekend, I think I might be coming down with strep. I've had it once before, DH gave it to me for a birthday present five years ago. Course he gave it to himself too! Left tonsil is all swollen and there are two white spots. I'm running low grade fever. Joy. I get sick maybe once a year. Nothing last year so it looks likely number may be up for this year. Fingers crossed that it's just a sinus thing

And before I forget, let me say thank you to everyone who is helping get a BO roo! This truly is a great place to hang!

If you do think you have strep throat the best thing to do is go get a swab ASAP. They can test right in the Dr. office and start you on ammoxicillan. You should notice relief of symptoms within 2 days. Sorry....getting off my medical soapbox now.
