DT if I still feel like this tomorrow that is what iwill do. I have three kids and am a teacher. I do not want to pass this on!! The last time I had it I had no symptoms until after it had been confirmed by swab except a horrendous black spot on my throat. This isn't the same exactly, more textbook symptoms.

Thanks for the good wishes. It would be nice if this worked out! How much does Dave want for the roo?

I have noticed that most people who get strep-throat are more prone to it than others. I would be cautious especially with the fever.....very indicative of infection.

Thank you for being responsible and NOT wanting to spread this stuff around. I'm tired of people coming to work sick!!

My understanding is that CSB will pick up the bird Friday evening to transport to Raleigh to meet JL on Saturday.

I like this new term "confuzzled"! I know exactly what that means and find myself feeling that way quite often!

Thank you all for the happy wishes for my little guy! He isn't officially 1 until Thursday so it hasn't quite sunk in yet. Having 2 so close together we've often been told by other crazy folks with close kids "if you can just survive that first year it will be great..." So I've really been looking forward to this particular landmark! But I'm knocking on wood right now because we do have a few more days left! What a year.

Party was great! Tons of fun. Did let all the kids play with the chickens and of course lost a precious egg. Poor #16 didn't stand a chance!

Heartbreaking to waste such a precious thing!!! But the chickens were a hit and showed off their stuff. I love hearing "I didn't know chickens could be so pretty!"

You BYCers are great! I love all this working together all across the state stuff! It's wonderful!!!

Jl - I hope it's not strep, but it sure does sound like it! I love my docs - we go to a family practice and she's very visual. When the boys have strep or an ear infection she always has me come and look at it so I can see what it looks like - very helpful! And those white spots sound yucky streppy! Boooooo. Get feeling better!!!!!!!

Vfem - can't wait to hear what you entered!!!! Good luck!!! I know you'll do fantastic!! Maybe one day I'll enter something... Sounds like fun!!!!

O.k., finally getting a chance to catch up. We have been busy all weekend building more runs in the barn.

The barn is going to look awesome when we are completely finished, still have much to do but definitely getting there.

Here is what we managed to finish this weekend, ran out of wire.

When all done today, three new pens finished and some very happy chickies. We have a total of 8 new 10'runs as well as an 8x10 hutch space. We will be adding additional lighting and thinking of adding auto waterers to help make life a little easier.

We will be turning the tack room into an incubator/brooder room over the winter. Next spring we will hopefully be working on a large outdoor run the length of the barn, that's the plan any way.
