Thanks, Suburb! I have some I'm attached to more than others! I have 6 chickens now. One rooster and a mix of 5 hens. Only one of them lays so far. She's a smaller black hen and gives one egg/day with quite a bit of regularity! She's currently stockpiling in my garden shed and she thinks I don't know! That's ok, because I'd like to try those ggs in the incubator when I get it later this week!
I'm not picky! Chickens and wine are my therapy! I sit out in the back after work and watch them chase bugs in the yard..My husband loves "fresH' chicken soup, so I don't mind getting roosters, either.
Ideally, I'd like to have enough egg production that I could pass eggs off to friends and family when they stop by, though!
We are out in Zebulon, but I work in North Raleigh!
