Yeah, I had a RIR roo before. Mean cuss. He made good soup. If I have to, I'll rotate them out fast so I only keep fairly young ones and not let them get old enough to challenge the other roos.

I SO want them, but we're just not ready for them right now. I would need to really fence in our property before thinking of getting them. Plus, we're still sweet talking the neighbor into selling his land to us!!

Between the 2 of us...we have the "ingredients"

ETA: Wait a minute. YOU have the ingredients !! Put the Marans roo over the OE and get row 1 egg 2.
Then the AM roo over the OE hens for row 2 egg 2
THEN....keep an OE roo (do you have one?) over the OE hens for row 3 egg 2.

I can figure out the top 2 rows of the chart.. I am stumped on the 3 row, the avocado eggs. ??? I get the OE xOE...then I am lost with rest. I need to research that.

Once you figure that out...I'd like to place an early order for a few of those sweet looking egg layers...who wouldn't want an avocado colored egg??!!
