These are the ducklings I hatched from a swap. They live with my chickens/ducks/geese/turkey.
I just have the tub they all share. They eat layer pellets...everyone does. They love pumpkin. LOL
Not sure the size..never had them before.

Cambells dont get that big mine are smaller than my scovies. I use one of those soft sided baby pools you can get a dollar general for like 8$. Mine eat a layer and grower mix. They are my sweetest ducks. And sit alot but also lay ALOT!!!

Good morning folks

They are promising our area rain today and I hope
that we do get some.........that will slow down some
projects but I haven't had a chance to make much
progress anyway and we NEED the rain. It has
been so dry that I am sure many of the trees are
going to have a rough time next summer.

Good Morning, Chicken People!

My incubator is humming along behind me, and it makes me happy.

I started taking treats out to the chicks, and they almost immediately began crowding around my feet when I go out, begging. Mostly the RIR, with a few of the others in there. There's a couple RIR who want to come out with me, but don't object when I scoop them back in. Some of the GLW and Wellies are fully feathered now, so I'll be able to move them out before too long. I want to see how they do in the next cold snap first. The Juvenile Detention Center is over-full now though, since I had that one order of 28 chicks that got cancelled, then sent after I had done a replacement order elsewhere. Overcrowding in the JDC! I need to advance them as soon as they are ready!

I got to go visit my puppy yesterday. 3 1/2 weeks, and he was a half ounce shy of 7 pounds! He's going to be a big boy! But a sweetheart. Can't wait to bring him home!

and HOWDY NEIGHBOR!! We too are in Johnston County!! FINALLY someone in our backyard!!

Good morning folks

They are promising our area rain today and I hope
that we do get some.........that will slow down some

BOO I don't want rain!! Well, I DO want it to replenish my well, but I have piano movers coming and well...NO RAIN!! LOL.

My family made it here safely and DD1 is TOO thrilled to have 2 more people read her books. She literally spent most of the evening going back and forth asking them to read her the SAME book over and over again. Too cute! Today I get to take my mother out to "handle" chicks for the first time in her life (I secretly hope one poops on her so she can get the FULL experience...that and I can get a good laugh!! LOL). Hoping for a great day!!

I have 2 female chocolate muscovies that NEED names...their drake and 2 other females all have names: Drake- Cadbury, Young female - Daisy, Young female - Daphne, Adult Female #1 & #2 are UNNAMED...suggestions??
