Hello everyone! I have been on before but this is officially my first post as a chick owner. My order got here this morning with a lovely call at 6 am from my rural post office. i ordered from MMcM. I ordered their Meat and Egg combo with additional chicks of Auracauna and a few others to make my 25. Actually got 27 and one looked down for count but I watered every chick and put some sugar in water, I remembered reading that on this site somewhere. Anyway the little one has sprung back to life. Hoping it stays that way.
My 3.5 year old is so excited and will not leave them alone. Surely this will fade slightly as they become less cute. Anyway I have been reading this site for so long I was excited just to become a part of it.

Here is to happy hens!

Well they are young teens. I'm not going to even try to sex them. So if you are interested in straight run I'll let you know how many, if not, no big deal I'll put them online.
Yeah, let me know. I might take a couple off your hands! Thanks for thinking about me!!!!

So happy for you, and your new babies! About the litle ones interest fading.... that can go either way. My younger has gotten to where he will hold hatchlings less, but he still like to get out there with them. Good luck and enjoy

Wild....been thinking all day......have you asked your feed dealer if they
have any broken/opened bags that they can let you have???

Since we buy so much feed our dealer keeps these bags for us
and sells them at a cut price.....saves them from shipping
them back to the mill.........just a thought.
