Okay so I am seriously considering getting meat rabbits, either new zeland or the crosses. Can anyone share their experience in raising meat... do they need a special type of food? Or can I feed rabbit ration pellets? How much space does each rabbit need? What a good price range, I mean whats the most I should pay for a pair of young rabbits?
I have a 5ft long by 1ft wide by 1 1/2ft high pen is this big enough? Or should I find something bigger?

Stupid Question but.....darken their faces? Like get some sun/sunburn?

Sumatra are not black skinned like a silkie but should have gypsy to black face skin. These have been in the chicken house outta the sun for almost a year, so they are not as dark in the face as they should be. The sun darkens up the face skin.

OK, so mine sould have plenty of sun! BTW, They decided after the bird house in the tree was built that they wanted to go in the coop. I wander who will adopt the empty nest in the tree. We have wild life that might find it inviting...

I know that bird never went in the hen house before, but one night we must have spent an hour looking for her, before finding her in the roof. The next night they were both in the house. GO FIGURE...

He is looking nice, and I think I just got an egg from them, so I will add it to the bator in a day or so.
