I have some 13 weeks old pullets and I need to move them into the coop. Running out of space in the shed. I know I could put them in the coop but I have layer crumbles in there for my girls right now. If I try to put two different feeders in there, one with grower, I don't think that would work out. Any ideas? You guys seem to have more expeirence with babys in this forum. Would it hurt them to go ahead and let them eat the layer?

I let my hen eat the grower finisher also and started the pullets on laying at 18 weeks while sharing a pen and kept the oyster shell out for the hen. The pullets seem to leave that alone. I wouldn't start the laying too soon for the pullets as they need to develop more. The hens will be fine on the grower, they seem to love that more.

Well today I had to perform crop surgery on my favorite hen.

So far so good, she is in the "chicken hospital" recovering. Her whole crop was full of wads of grass

...poor girl. Just liquid food for now. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

It was great seeing everyone at WCA today... I really miss you guys if you don't turn up on Sundays.

With DH helping them out... we got out of there about 6:30 PM.

I'm so glad he likes them! I love to bake, and it makes me happy to have a way to make other people happy!

I'm sorry for not introducing you properly to my husband. That was very rude of me. I'm glad he did it without me!

I can't wait until summer, when I can go every weekend if I want to!

does anyone know where to find 10 percent sevin dust this time of year i just ran out and have looked at southern states walmart and tractor supply and they say they rnt getting any in till later in the season
