Hey everybody, hope you're all having a good week. Ours started early Monday morning....and is still a Monday. Terrible allergies (both of us), and an unexpected truck repair pushing $1000, which just bumped our plans for vacation in May.....what would have been our first vacation in four years. Dammit.

In latest chicken news....I just moved my 8-week old SLWs out to the outdoor coop today. SOOO fun to see them enjoying the big space. I love my chicks. The younger ones are coming up through the ranks, and I have a whole batch of guinea eggs waiting to go in the bator tomorrow or Thursday (some from my hens, some from a girl who bought keets from me last year, and who doesn't want to hatch her eggs. Love repeat business, lol).

I sold six day-old SFH chicks today to a lady who proceeded to pick them up, quickly inspect each of them, and say, "Oh, this is a boy...." LOL, wish I had that skill, right?

Awwwwww.....sorry to hear that. Hope it gets better soon.

Good Morning everyone!!

I was SO excited yesterday because I saw a duck sneaking off into the woods and I was hoping I MIGHT have found their laying spot. Well....I guess she may need more time, because DH went and inspected the spot last night (I couldn't...she was onto me and was in an area COVERED with poison ivy)... there is a definite "nest" being made, but no soil was disturbed, so either she is getting ready, OR she is as cleaver as a fox and is tricking me.

Knowing my luck...I suspect the latter!!

No other news here, so have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
