I just love these pics. I incubate, and never have a broody, so I just LOVE pics of mamas with babies. One day *sigh* I hope I will have the joy of a broody hen who hatches babies. I can dream.
wait till the silkies go broody, than it'll be a nightmare

broken eggs, stealing eggs, stealing chicks all summer long

I have an eight week old Plymouth Rock rooster and also a Buff Orpington rooster (same age) that need good homes. I live on Lake Norman in Mooresville so please let me know if you would like one or both of these birds (FREE of course). They are part of a group of sixteen that I inherited from my daughter who along with her family had to move to the west coast recently.

Well out of the 5 bantam polish broody mom's hatched out we ended up with 4 males. Needless to say I cant keep that many boys in my pen , so I am looking to find them new homes. They are bantam cuckoo polish. One is frizzle. I have one other boy not pictured he is darker in cuckoo coloring. If interested pm me. I am located just outside of Wilmington (Leland). They all have been vaccinated for Mareks.

Okay. I counted. 147 chickens of various ages; all large fowl. 37 turkey poults. 4 button quail. Four additional chicks that belong to someone else. 34 eggs in the incubator, plus eight coturnix eggs, plus 60 coturnix eggs ordered.

Now to figure out exactly who stays and who goes....

Now that is one of the cutest things I've seen in a while! Thanks for sharing all the pictures. You don't see this very often!

Love the most recent pics on here. I have not been on much, so I did not go all the way back to the last post (I hope you guys understand, but this is an active group). I really loved seeing the pics of the turkey family. We have wanted to add them, and have not as of yet, but one day....

I am headed to WCA tomorrow. It is already time to thin down some of the extras, but not as many as late last year. I don't think I should wait so long. I have been really wanting to get out there and it does not look like the weather is going to play nice, but we will see. I would love to see some of you before I have to run.
