Luke, avoid induction til at least 41 wks and make sure her body is ready first. I am nurse midwife, and there are lots of things that should be done to assure fetal well being without jumping into an induction and increasing the risk of c section.
We're trying to avoid induction! We've been going walking and she's been rolling around the house on a yoga ball. We went yesterday and they said all is well so maybe he's just being a typical Linkous boy and taking his sweet a** time.

I'm ready for him to be walking and talking but he's gotta come to the light first!

give him some time! Lol walking will only do so much for starting labor, more likely to make mom tired actually. PM me for some info on natural methods pf induction if u want.

HELP................!!!!!.....I am getting my new coop varmit proofed before I move my girls in. However, my source of girls was raided by coyotes and they don't have any chickens for me. I live outside of Rocky Mount. Does anyone know where I can get some young girls? I just need 4 right now. Starting with a small coop until I have the expertise for more!!

PLEASE HELP ME!

This is a condensed repost of what I put in chicken emergencies, but want as many of you to see it as soon as possible, I need help!

As most of you know there was a debockle of getting 4 new hens at WCA 10 days ago and not realizing quarantine so they spent the first 24 hours together then were separated, but only by about 200 ft in my backyard.

This morning my favorite chicken is sick, barely moving, won't drink, won't eat (even treats), one eye is closed (though not crusted she won't open it), and nose is running really bad. I tried electrolytes for chicks in water and tried to give it with an eye dropper and even that didn't work. She is lying on my lap as I sit here and sob, and I really feel like I am watching her die!

I know chronic respitory hangs in the system forever. And while that sucks, I can deal with that, I can't deal with losing this one chicken I'd rather lose the rest of my flock. What can I do right now to save her life? I've called all the vet places, only a few open and none see chickens. My husband is in the army and has been calling around to the army vets and can't get anyone. I called the Bragg vet clinic but they won't see chickens since you aren't allowed to have them on post (we live off post in fayetteville).

I don't care the price, I NEED to save my family's favorite chicken, PLEASE tell me what I can do right now to keep her alive!

No other animals show any symptoms. The night before last it got down into the 40's, but all my chickens refused to go into the coop, they all slept where they started to this spring, on the outdoor roost in their run. I tried to put them in the coop, but they all came back out ebfore I could get them all in so we let them sleep out there. Now I am fearing this could have triggered a cold.

I don't know, all I know is I need to save this chicken and I don't know what to do.

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
