I just had a chick hatch and it looks like it has an umbilical cord???
There's a yolky rope with a red line going into a little opening on the chicks belly.
He is breathing and out of the shell, but can't really move around because it's pulling him.
Do I cut it???

leave it. It'll dry up and fall off soon. It's the yolk that was unabsorbed before he hatched.

Your new baby is cute, cute, cute! I have had one with an attached umbilical cord. They drop off pretty quickly and it will be just fine
