Hey guys! Taking a break from packing. How did we accumulate so much junk? Oh that's right! Hubs is a pack rat and refuses to throw anything away but somehow managed to throw away my new better homes and garden magazine yesterday! Seriously y'all this is ridiculous! And more rain! Yippee. So excited. Sick rooster passed away late last night.

So sorry about the rooster

, the packing and the pack rat! There is a long line of pack rats in both of mine & my husbands family. Some hoarders too. I throw out too much & my husband keeps to much so we try to place each other out! I watch the hoarders show every once in a while to keep myself motivated!

Sulmet has been taken off the the market. Corrid is available. Yes, sit is pricey bit well worth the money. It will last a while too.
If you do not treat for cocci, they will die.

I don't know if the feed store carries either one. I just checked tractor supple online and it carries corid but its 23 dollars for a 10 ounce packet.

I'm going to see of the the store here has sumlet tomorrow morning. I sure hope and pray that my girl doesn't pass before then. I've had an outbreak of coccidiosis when my grown chickens were babies and it was horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep my little one in your thoughts. She's my inside baby! And I have no clue where she got this from! Seriously! No other chicken goes in her pen outside or inside! And they r 2 different pens and are cleaned daily!!!!

my poor baby.
southern gin and grain in Fayetteville carries sulmet. If she has touched dirt outside she can get it or she could've got it from you bringing it in. Good luck

Ugh rough day here today, repeated pop up storms managed to re-flood my main coop. I'm beginning to fear I may have to abandon this coop.

not sure what else to do, before I do anything drastic(tear it down) I'm gonna try laying down gravel, then sand and laying plywood boards over it all. I was gonna cement it, but landlord said no.

Hope you all have had a good weekend.
What about cinder block then plywood rather than gravel and sand? Plywood directly on the ground will rot. It will last longer if it is on cinder block. I would cut ventilation underneath so you don't have vermin living in the cozy area that would be created by the cinder block area though, e.g. make the bottom as open as you can. All of our coops are setting on cinderblocks They are usually one block high and that is enough to prevent mice or anything else from living under them.

Congratulations to all of thosse with new eggs!!! That is always exciting!
