Hey Matt - what kind of chickens are these?? I love the colors on that hen!

They are mine. They exist no where else. They breed true, but are technically mutts. They are large size bantams at about 3 pounds. The boys run about half a pound larger. They don't look that large, but are solid chunks. They have feathers down the outside of their legs, but the feet are clean. Yellow skinned, Bright Orange eyes, Red face, medium-large comb and wattles, round breasted, tight feathered.

History: The original Cock was my Dot, also the first bantam I ever had. He was from eggs I got from my Uncle in 2004. My Uncle claims he never saw a bird like them and had none, but somehow his flock of whatevers is where Dot came from. My Uncle's flock of birds was wiped out by a pack of stray dogs that tore the lots and coops apart. Also from that flock came Oreo. A hen that was black and white. She matched Dot in size and shaped, but was B&W and clean legged. Dot had feathers down the outside of his legs. Dot X Oreo created Snickers. Snickers was the first Tri-Colored, but clean legged. I lost Snickers in 2008 to an impaction. From Dot and Oreo I also got Little Oreo. From Lil-Oreo I got Baby Oreo and from her came Two Tone. Over the years I have lost all the Oreos, except TwoTone who is only 2. All the Oreos and TwoTone all have feathers on their legs

From Snickers I have Caramel and Nougat. From Caramel I have Peanut(yes they are all parts of a snickers). I lost Dot to a stray cat, but was given back Andy by a friend. Andy was from Caramel and Dot. His comb was tore off by a Cock before I got him back. From Caramel X Andy I got GingerSnap and from Nougat X Andy I have BabyRuth. I had 2 from Peanut X Andy, but lost 1 to worms and another to a LF marans Cock that was lunch soon after. Andy also has a son, Amos. All the offspring have feathered legs.

This year I hatched out 4 and ALL 4 are Cockerels that I will be looking homes for. 2 Tricolors and 2 black & whites. I hope to find homes. When Lacy, mother hen, is done with them I will set a deadline date to find them homes. If homes can't be found they will be processed.
