That would be a Cochin.....

It's hatchery stock and it's how he's holding it.
I do have a cochin though. She's more short and fat this one stands straight up and holds it's wings down not tucked in like the cochin. Even though this one doesn't have the muffs my cochins' face is different.
They look completely different, different posture, different size.
I'll take a pic of her standing up next to each other.

I couldn't get them to cooperate and stand next to each other.
The black one is much larger than the blue.
The hatchery told me the blue is a D'Uccle and the black is a cochin.
Both are bantams, which I don't prefer to raise so I know much less about them than standard breeds.
I know they're both girls and 4 months old. I gave the roosters away a month ago when they started crowing.
The blue is half the weight of the black.

@Bhep You think both are actually cochin?

Edit: they also have different color skin and beaks, not sure if that would matter.
Hatchery told me a few D'Uccles don't end up with muffs which is what I was going off of. Figured they knew more about them than me, as I don't know much about either breed.
Thanks!

All right, well thank you both for helping me clear that up, that's why I love this page!
Any idea why such a size and stance difference, just different genetics or farmers I guess?
I know nothing about bantams, I just let my kids get them. It's kinda annoying to me a hatchery can't tell the difference if that's their job...
Thanks guys!

@dutchbunny83 They both look like my Buff Cochin bantam pullet. She has more of the body structure of the black, but does not have the dark beak. She kind of looks like a combination of your too.

If you still have them I'll take them, they would be a gift for my dad. He has a lonely bantam cochin roo that he loves.

I received this little girl the other day and I am afraid she is just too small for my flock. I have some big boys and girls in my flock and they look at her like she is lunch. I'd like to possibly trade her for a big girl.

Also have this guy

My kids named him frizz since he looks weird to them, I guess you call him silkied but he is an ee that I have had from 2 days old. I'd like to trade him or sell him but what would be the best way to go an about that?

He's really beautiful. I'd love to have him.. but you're pretty far away and I already have too many boys. I would love to put him in with my EEs though..
