North Carolina

Small world aye. I am a RN work in the ED what do yall do

I'm a SAHM working on turning our little patch of grass into a fully functional homestead. Currently only chickens and Nigerian Dwarfs, but hoping to expand eventually and add some Dexter cows and a horse or two.

DH is a commercial airline pilot so is conveniently not around much to interfere with critter purchases.

The Hubs and I work at Carolina Bronze Sculpture in Seagrove. We do the silicone molds of the artist's originals, cast them in wax and "fix" anything that doesn't match the original, and then prepare them for their ceramic shell. It's really interesting stuff!

And when we're not at work, he's usually looking for a fishing hole, and I'm out messing with my yard birds.

I am a professional on ice t-shirt slinger ...... and in my spare time I own a nursery and landscape business, moving to a small farm, raise chickens, a bee keeper, remodeling a house, collect and repair vintage saxophones, trumpets, clarinets and such. I like to find old farm, gas station and wood ware items, old pedal tractors and toys plus raise koi fish.

And on the side I have almost 5 year old twin boys..
Not bad for a 52 year old guy huh?

I have a broody barred rock hen so since my incubators were all.over the temperature ranges and I tossed 21 eggs, I figured the next two batches were gonna be bad also, so I set 7 eggs under her today and will willnadd more tomorrow.

So, yesterday/today would have been the next hatch day, haven't looked in Bator's in the last 4 days, no lockdown as I know they are bad, look in tonight...4 chicks surfing on the turner..
Moved to lockdown now I have 5 with a few more pipping...
Never say never...
