North Carolina

Hello NC people, hope y'all are doing good,I am looking for some hens of one of this breeds, cochin,EE, or brahma,If someone also wants to get rid of a pure bred brahma I would accept it,they look pretty good in my opinion and I can't find one except for the 10 chick order that tractor supply sells online,1.its too expensive 120 dollars for 10 chicks,2.I only want a rooster and 3 hens,3.I dont trust them that they will actually send the correct breed, and this is my last option to see if someone out there in NC has a pure bred brahma that's willing to sell it.:D,I live around salisbury area.

Pretty eggs. My EEs are 8 yrs old this year not sure I’ll get any more eggs from them, just 2 left out of 8 I started with.
Thanks! I love my easter egger girls I think I have about 25 of them. All various ages! I hope mine live 8 years currently my oldest are 6 and I don’t think they lay anymore so they’d live in a retirement coop.

Hello NC folks,

We are in Cary, NC, and are looking for a temporary or permanent home our ~11-month-old male and female Cayugas.

They were dumped in the retention pond behind our house, and we rescued them. We've had them for nine months, the female just started laying, and they are quite tame and friendly. Our neighbors love them and the eggs! But the HOA saw them in our yard and called animal control on us. Our town of Cary only allows 5 chickens and no ducks.

We are going to try to get the backyard chicken ordinance changed to include 2 of the 5 slots for chickens to be filled by ducks. We're meeting with our town council person next week. If this fails, we are moving out of Cary next June because we don't want to stay here once our kids are in college.

So if someone in the area can take our two ducks either temporarily or permanently, we're in a quandary, and we'd really appreciate it.
