North Carolina

Found a lost dog? He’s orange, with a little white around his muzzle. Anyone know of this? We’re in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area. He’s seems pretty tired so he could’ve traveled awhile.

I'm new here, Live about an hr east of charlotte. My husband and I are fixing to start raising chickens. He has had chickens before, but I have not. We are looking at these breeds to get, easter eggers, cochins, orpingtons, brahmas, australorps, frizzles, silkies, maybe jersey giants. Any tips or any other ideas on breeds would be great. I'm wanting good layers, but also pretty hens.

Welcome to BYC.

I've had good luck with Brahmas despite our steamy summers. I think that so some extent their thick feathers insulate them from the heat as well as the cold.

My Australorps are, IMO, wonderful. :)

I'm looking to consolidate some on the farm and have decided to let my ayam cemani rooster "Roo" go. He is a great boy and takes great care of his mixed flock of hens. His brother a BCM roo and he will fight so we have had to have separate flocks for some time now and want to thin things out to reduce the jugglingof flocks. So we have regretfully decided to rehome Roo and possibly a couple cemani hens (all laying now) to go with him. You can reach us at [email protected] if Interested we are in selma near Smithfield nc.

Here are a couple of pics of him

Thought I would try here first before posting to Craigslist. We are in Oak Ridge, NC. 😁 I have three (possibly 4) roosters that need a new home. I hatched this batch of chickens on April 2nd this year, so they are just now coming to maturity. Their dad is Brahma and I believe their mom was a Copper Marans. The guys are very handsome and will make some flock a nice roo. Free to good homes.

If interested let me know!

I have Serama chicks available for new homes 🐣 They are around a week old and will be smooth or frizzle feather type. I also have one silkie chick available and will have ducklings in the next week. Carthage, NC.
Hi!!
I'm moving to Carthage next week! I wouldn't mind a couple more hens if you still have some. I have four HUGE Muscovy drakes if you're interested. 3 are four months old and the other is 6 months old.
I came here to post the ducks but wanted to stop and say hi neighbor! 🙋‍♀️
