North Carolina

I am in Beaufort County North Carolina and have rescued a duck. I have no experience with ducks but it seems thin. Very friendly . It was left at a boat ramp. Anyone near me who can help? I don't want to keep it.

It loved having fresh water to dunk it's head in! It ate the cornmeal mash with peas last night and this morning. I picked up Dumor duck food crumbles at Tractor Supply today and it immediately started eating that. It's much quieter and less active today. What an ordeal! I am actually sitting outside with it right now. I have a small area off the chicken/garden run fenced in and coaxed it out. There is a small puddle but it didn't get in it. Just laying in the grass now.Still not sure about sex as it isn't talking much now.

Great pictures♥️ my Runner drake lost his drake feather a few months ago so I don’t think we can go by that this time of year. Hopefully the more comfortable it gets the more talk able.
Looks to be blk Swedish
Are you thinking of keeping it? If so I’d try and find some friends since it’s going to be lonely. good to hear it’s eating and drinking!!

No I can't keep it. I'm not able to take care of it or chickens properly anymore.
