Probably an hour and a half for me.
So the same distance it would take me to get to Greenfamilyfarm.

Which hopefully tomorrow I will be going to get two little quail from. I have everything set up for them.

You actually have to pass me to get to Green. If you are going her way, you have to come here. I was thinking of your set up the other day, I tell ya, you could do some simple stuff in there to start. Are you conming down next weekend? I do have some babie you can take home with you, and would love to meet you. Maybe we can get Green to come out too.

I live off of 211 so I don't have any turns except down near her.

And yes we will have to do that!

My set up is nothing as of yet. I have a cage inside for the quail I hope to get and maybe a silkie to keep them warm and comfy.
I also have an outdoor rabbit hutch that I am trying to set up a time to pick up. I don't have a coop built yet. That is next payday, insurance payout or taxes. whichever comes first. I gave my plans to the neighbor though. So he can work out the cost and then I can have him build it. I think I give up on the washer and drier idea for now. Leave it for a project for my husband when he gets home this summer.

Let me see what we have around here as far as some extra - but I am telling you, a nice little dog house from walmart, and some roosts- you are ready to go. The ones I have here are used to being outside with no light, so all they need is a bit of shelter from the wind- the rest is easy.

A dog crate I have. 2 actually, xl size. Those igloo dog houses are $115! I also have the hardwire fencing somebody gave me. I have limbs to make roosts. All those trees we cut down made for firewood for next winter, roosts for chickens and bonfires for the kids. I have a brood lamp. I have a chick feeder and water. So now I have the bedding and food to eventually get.

I was going to build them a simple box with the roosts at one end next month. A few months ago pallets were free. Now I see people charging for them.

There was a dog house on CL for 25- I will keep my eyes open, and if one comes up here I'll grab it. Sounds like you have enough to start though.

Sunday I am picking up that rabbit hutch.

Hopefully the weather won't be to bad!
