my bones are too old for spills

Greenskeeper--did they put on a show for you with a dirt bath too?? our ground has finally defrosted enough that the girls were throwing dirt big time

I think in the spring I would love to have them hatch one of those multi colored ones you have. Phyllis is broody more than not, and I am sure she would take good care of it.

I lost my rooster in October, but now have Cecil. They pecked a spot bald on his neck, but after an hour they loved him. When I put out treats, Cecil eats last. Well, unless I give them tomatoes. Then he pushes the ladies out of the way to get to them. I spoiled them all when I bought a pound of dried meal worms. Now they think every time I go into the coop I am going to give them meal worms. I wish I could but I have not found them for less than thirty dollars a pound, delivered.

Anyone know a cheaper place to get dried meal worms?

I am going to figure out how to get a photo in these dang posts.

Good Morning Kathie~~love the decorated coop!! I never even got the human house decorated this year...lol.

Yep--Phyllis is queen of the broodies; she'd lay about 4 eggs, then decided it was time to set. I've got two gorgeous Partridge roos right now you could have

Have you checked craigslist....I get fresh live mealworms from a lady in Raleigh. Way to far for you, but maybe there is someone closer. Its $10.00 for 1000 worms. We are trying to grow our own. Got some growing, seems like forever.

I have always gotten mine from a guy on ebay. $30 for a pound. I will check craigslist, and I will wait to see where Miss Lydia gets hers. I do not think I could deal with live ones. The dried ones are icky enough.
